HOW GOLDEN FRIDAY MEDIA BEGAN
“When I was 16, I had a massive passion for filming videos. I would call my friends up every chance I could to go on a new adventure and use my GoPro until the batteries died. Over time, this hobby grew more and more into a calling, and I found a lot of blessings and amazing people along the way.
In 2015, I qualified as a Make-A-Wish kid for my chronic lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis. Since I unfortunately couldn’t wish for more wishes, I wished for a DJI drone and an laptop to edit videos and do my future collegiate schoolwork.
As I suffered my way through the blessing of higher education, I started to film weddings to reinvest money back into camera gear and more opportunities. While in University, I licensed my freelance photography and videography with a goal to become financially independent and be more involved in the community.
While I blossomed into new capital ventures, like real estate and commercial business projects, I learned photography as the Marketing Manager / Social Media Specialist of On The Grind Coffee. One thing lead to the next, and soon I found myself filming a future LSU D1 sand volleyball recruit on the beach in Los Angeles, and then filming a wedding in Buffalo, New York, and then filming in Ethiopia for a Non-Profit called Acts of Wisdom. My dream of seeing the world and experiencing all walks of life was coming true with my drone and laptop constantly in my backpack. New forms of digital media called to me and I branched out to learning new programs and developing new skillsets, all along the way with my supportive and loving family pushing me forward to chase this destiny of content creation.
In Summer of 2024, I moved with my best friend Patrick to West Palm Beach, Florida. Patrick joined the Golden Friday Media team with his new collegiate degree, and we have been enjoying the new beach lifestyle in the land of endless summer. We’re both people persons keen on investing ourselves into our new community here. We know there are awesome people here who would greatly benefit from the services we provide, and I am excited to meet everyone!
My mission now is to live a long, purposeful life doing what I love with my best effort. My goal in the future is to be able to sponsor kids applying for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, so I may give back to the community that has been so gracious to me.
Now, I get a funny smile when I find myself creating a 3-D Matterport Virtual Tour or creating graphic designs for Golden Friday Media. Maybe I didn’t expect for this to grow, but maybe my doubts of success were never strong enough. Either way, I appreciate you for coming to Golden Friday Media, and I hope that your experience with us is as meaningful and special as we intend it to be. Sometimes our lives start with something as simple as pressing the ‘Start’ and ‘Stop’ button; don’t be afraid to press start.”
